BOSTON, Mass. – The Endicott men's lacrosse team defeated Wentworth, 15-11, in Conference of New England (CNE) action on Friday night at Sweeney Field.
Nick Graap (Yorktown Heights, N.Y.) led the Gulls offense with six goals.
Tommy Tyksinski (Guilderland, N.Y.) added four goals, while Donovan Devellis (Norfolk, Mass.) finished with a hat-trick.
Joseph Tumolo (Mahopac, N.Y.) rounded out the scoring, finding the back of the net twice.
In goal, Gio Panicola (Long Beach, N.Y.) made 12 saves as his record improves to 8-3 this season.
Coming out of the halftime break, trailing 7-3, the host Leopards went on a 5-1 scoring run to tie the game at eight with 8:43 to play in the third quarter.
Endicott then responded with a 5-0 run of their own to open up a 13-8 lead at the 11:10 mark of the fourth quarter.
Following a Wentworth man-up tally, two more goals from the Gulls pushed the lead to six with 6:08 remaining.
BEYOND THE BOX
- Endicott is now 31-3 all-time versus Wentworth.
- Third hat-trick of the season for Devellis.
- Graap's fourth consecutive game with five or more points.
