Three Gulls Claim USA Lacrosse Magazine Honorable Mention Accolades
BEVERLY, Mass. – Three Endicott men's lacrosse team members have earned USA Lacrosse Magazine All-America Honorable Mention accolades as announced by the organization.
Aidan Kellachan (Westhampton, N.Y.), Gio Panicola (Long Beach, N.Y.), and Tommy Tyksinski (Guilderland, N.Y.) were all honored by the organization.
All three were named All-Conference First Teamers, while Tyksinski collected Offensive Player of the Year and Scholar-Athlete of the Year honors and Panicola earned Goalkeeper of the Year.
Kellachan was part of a defensive unit that allowed just 8.39 goals per game, while he recorded a career-high 33 ground balls and caused nine turnovers. The senior added two goals and five assists as well.
The starting goalie for 18 games this season, Panicola finished with a 8.77 goals against average and a 56.3 save percentagee. The sophomore made 15 or more saves in four contests this season.
Tyksinski was a catalyst for the offense all season as he posted career highs in goals (51), assists (29), and points (80). He had 10 games this season with five or more points highlighted by a nine-point performance versus Gordon.
This is the first career All-American honor for Kellachan and Panicola, while Tyksinski was named a United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) Division III Honorable Mention All-American last season.
YEAR IN REVIEW
Endicott finished the season with a 14-4 record while going 9-0 in conference play. The Gulls earned the No. 1 seed in the conference tournament before falling to Western New England in the championship game, 10-7.
