Men's Rugby Thrashes No. 22 Nationally Ranked UMass Lowell

BEVERLY, Mass. – The Endicott club men's rugby team routed No. 22 nationally ranked UMass Lowell by a 38-12 score on Saturday night at Hempstead Stadium. Endicott also beat UMass Lowell 66-0 in 15's on the same night.

"The confidence the team earned from winning the CCRC tournament clearly spilled over into our match tonight," said Endicott club men's rugby head coach Dave Kenkel. "So many kids played well but it was clear that our Man of the Match was Matt Doyle for his tenacious defense. At times it seems as if there were two of him on the pitch!"
