Men's Rugby Competes At Trinity (Conn.) 7's Tournament
HARTFORD, Conn. — The Endicott men's rugby team competed in the Trinity (Conn.) 7s Tournament on Sunday afternoon.
The Gulls went 4-1 in matches against Nichols (21-17), Bryant (21-0), Colby (17-0), Salve Regina (15-10), and Springfield (12-14). Endicott fell in the championship game to Springfield as time expired.
MAN OF THE MATCH
Fionn Aherne (Cork, Ireland) — Fionn played a significant chunk of time at the tournament, scoring multiple tries and keeping the offense buzzing.
DEFENDER OF THE MATCH
Scott Turner (Peabody, Mass.) — Turner made several key try-saving tackles in the final game of the day that kept the Gulls in the fight till the last seconds.
WHAT'S NEXT
The Gulls will travel to Dudley, Mass., and compete in the Nichols 7s Tournament on Saturday March, 15.
