Men's Rugby Wins Nichols 7s Tournament

DUDLEY, Mass. — The Endicott men's rugby team won all three matches to help them win the Nichols 7s tournament.

The Gulls went won the first match against Holy Cross, 19-5, and then followed up defeating Bryant, 20-19. In the championship match, Endicott defeated the host Bison, 33-15.

PLAYER OF THE TOURNAMENT

Fionn Aherne (Cork, Ireland) — For a second week in a row, Fionn put in an inspirational performance in the middle. Destructive in defense, creative in attack and a menace at the breakdown.

DEFENDER OF THE TOURNAMENT

Jaden Carnevale (Coventry, R.I.) — Locked down both edges and never let a player get outside of him. Played with a captains effort all tournament.
