Men’s Rugby Places Second At NACR Qualifier, Punches Ticket To Nationals
SPRINGFIELD, Mass. — The Endicott men's rugby team finished second at the North Atlantic Collegiate Rugby (NACR) Qualifier on Sunday evening.
The Gulls defeated Curry (48-5), Colgate (41-7), Bates (22-7), and Trinity (35-7) before falling to host Springfield, 12-10, in the championship match.
Will Savage (Weymouth, Mass.) was named Player of the Tournament, as the sophomore fly half made a few unbelievable plays today and stepped up when his team needed it.
Jaden Carnevale (Coventry, R.I.) claimed Defender of the Tournament honors for his expert tackling on the day.
