Men's Soccer Season Stays Alive; Gulls Secure #2 Seed in ECAC Tournament
DANBURY, Conn. – The Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) has released their field of eight for the 2014 Men’s Soccer Division III New England tournament. After bowing out of the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) semifinals to eventual champion, Nichols, the Endicott men’s soccer team’s season is still alive as they have earned the #2 seed in the ECAC Tournament.

DANBURY, Conn. – The Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) has released their field of eight for the 2014 Men's Soccer Division III New England tournament. After bowing out of the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) semifinals to eventual champion, Nichols, the Endicott men's soccer team's season is still alive as they have earned the #2 seed in the upcoming ECAC Tournament.
The tournament will begin on Wednesday, November 12th for the quarterfinal round with the semifinals and championship games taking place on Saturday, November 15th and Sunday, November 16th at the highest seed remaining in the tournament.
Endicott (9-7-4) and will face #7 Elms (9-8-3) who finished their NECC postseason run in the title game as they lost to Daniel Webster 2-1. The Gulls and the Blazers have never met in program history as the Blue and Green will look to earn the program's first ECAC title.
The men's soccer program has been to two trips to the ECAC tournament back in 2011 and 2012. In 2012 the Gulls reached as far as the semifinals before being knocked out by the Coast Guard.
Earning the top spot in the tournament is #1 Norwich (13-6-2) who fell in the GNAC championship to Johnson & Wales (R.I.). The Cadets will host Lesley (10-6-4) who lost to the 2014 NECC Champion, Daniel Webster in the semifinals.
