UNITED SOCCER COACHES ALL-REGION TEAMS
KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Three members of the Endicott men's soccer team have received 2024 United Soccer Coaches All-Region II honors, as announced by the organization on Tuesday afternoon.
Graduate forward Tiago Frazao (Trumbull, Conn.) garnered United Soccer Coaches All-Region II First Team accolades, while junior midfielder Tim Lynch (Groton, Conn.) was named to the All-Region II Second Team and graduate back Hayden Laske (Wethersfield, Conn.) received Third Team honors.
This marks the third year in a row that the Gulls have posted three members across the United Soccer Coaches All-Region II teams.
FIRST TEAM ALL-REGION
TIAGO FRAZAO | GR. | F | TRUMBULL, Conn.
Frazao captured All-Region II honors for the third consecutive season. In both 2022 and 2023, he was named to the All-Region II Second Team.
The graduate forward was a staple atop the Gulls' offense throughout the entirety of the 2024 season's play.
He ranked tops amongst the Gulls in goals (11), shots (42), shots on goal (19), and game-winning goals (four) this season. His goal, shot, and shots on goal totals were all career-high marks.
His 11 goals also led the Conference of New England (CNE) in scoring, while his four game-winners were tied for most in the league.
Additionally, his 29 career goals place him second in program history behind Evan Couchot '20 (Mason, Ohio).
This season, Frazao tallied three multi-goal efforts, all of which included game-winners. His knack for coming up big in the clutch was a key part of the Gulls' unparalleled success in the CNE this season (9-0-0 CNE; first undefeated season for any team in conference play since WNE in 2011).
SECOND TEAM ALL-REGION
TIM LYNCH | JR. | M | GROTON, Conn.
A large reason for the success of the 2024 Endicott men's soccer team's season was due to the lockdown midfield play of Lynch.
The 2024 CNE Defensive Player of the Year started in all 19 games for the Blue and Green, having played the full 90 minutes on nine occasions.
This season in particular, Lynch established himself as an integral part of the Gulls' team identity, as opponents often had a difficult time moving the ball through the midfield with him patrolling the area.
His efforts on the defensive side of the ball led to a league-best 16 goals against the Blue and Green this season, and a whopping 10 shutouts as well.
This marks the junior's first career All-Region II honors.
THIRD TEAM ALL-REGION
HAYDEN LASKE | GR. | B | WETHERSFIELD, Conn.
Laske returned to the Gulls for a fifth year graduate season in 2024, and his impact turned out to be massive for the CNE Regular Season Champs.
In his 16 games played (all starts), the Gulls held a record of 9-5-2 and featured the top defense in the league, and one of the top defenses in the region.
Laske was a vital part of that lockdown back line which limited opponents to just 0.84 goals per game.
His hard-nosed, physical play often came in clutch as the final line of defense for the Gulls if a team was able to build up any sort of scoring opportunity.
This is the graduate's first career All-Region II honors.
YEAR IN REVIEW
Endicott posted a 12-5-2 overall record, which included a program-best 9-0-0 in league play.
The Gulls earned the No. 1 seed in the CNE Tournament, but were bested by Roger Williams in an epic CNE Semifinal overtime battle, 3-2, on November 6.
