BEVERLY, Mass. — The Endicott men's soccer team knocked off Husson, 3-0, in Friday night's 2025 season and home opener at Hempstead Stadium.
Sophomore midfielder Liam Stapleton (Westchester, N.Y.) put the Gulls up 1-0 just 10 minutes in after he maneuvered his way into the box and drew a foul, earning himself a penalty kick, which he then cashed in on.
The Gulls remained in control for the remainder of the first half, and carried their 1-0 advantage through to the break.
Newcomer Tyler Walser (Duxbury, Mass.) padded the lead with his first career Endicott goal in the 54th minute after he volleyed in a great setup from Stapleton and Conor Rooney (Monroe, Conn.).
Travis Perrault (Ashburnham, Mass.) delivered the final blow in the 70th minute to put the Gulls up 3-0 after he picked up a loose ball in front of the net and sent it home.
Brady O'Toole (Concord, Mass.) and the Gulls defensive line thwarted the Eagles throughout the contest. The Gulls' back line only allowed one shot on net, which O'Toole calmly saved.
