Harrison Captures CNE Defensive Player of the Week
BEVERLY, Mass. — Endicott men's soccer graduate goalkeeper Ethan Harrison (Sandy Springs, Ga.) has been named the Conference of New England's (CNE) men's soccer Defensive Player of the Week, the league office announced on Tuesday afternoon.
In Endicott's 1-0-1 (1-0-0 CNE) week last week, Harrison was stellar in net.
The Gulls' graduate goalkeeper made nine saves on the week and led the team to a draw against No. 4 nationally ranked Wheaton and a conference win over the University of New England (UNE).
In Tuesday's 1-1 draw against No. 4 nationally ranked Wheaton, the netminder made his first career start for the Blue and Green. He turned in an impressive seven-save effort in the draw, holding the talented Lyons at bay.
Then, on Saturday, the keeper turned in his first career shutout against UNE. He picked up two saves in the 1-0 win against the Nor'Easters.
This marks Harrison's first career CNE Defensive Player of the Week award.
