Men’s Tennis Opens CCC Play With 9-0 Win Vs. Wentworth
WESTON, Mass. – The Endicott men’s tennis team opened up Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) play on Wednesday night against Wentworth with a 9-0 win on the campus of Regis College.

Endicott made quick work of the Leopards in doubles as the Gulls only dropped two games among all three slots to register a 3-0 lead before singles.
Sean McAndrews (Vineyard Haven, Mass.) and Nicholas Eherts (New Milford, Conn) claimed an 8-1 victory at No. 3, while Eric Pierce (Barrington, R.I.) and Keaton McCleary (Newtown, Conn) picked up an 8-0 triumph in the No. 2 position to jump out to a 2-0 advantage in the match. Christopher Kirkpatrick (Newburyport, Mass.) and Michael Dolph (Stratford, Conn.) went on to wrap up the doubles sweep for Endicott with an 8-1 triumph at No. 1.
In singles play, Eherts made it 4-0 with a 6-0, 6-2 victory at No. 5 and McAndrews sealed the win moments later with a 6-1, 6-1 win at No. 4. Dolph followed with a 6-0, 6-4 decision at No. 2, while Matthew Doherty (Plymouth, Mass.) earned a 6-1, 6-2 triumph at No. 6.
Kirkpatrick battled back from a one-set deficit at No. 1 singles to notch a gritty 1-6, 6-2, 13-11 win before Pierce ended the conference matchup versus Wentworth with a 6-4, 6-2 victory in the No. 3 slot.
