Men's Tennis Downs Emerson, 5-2
BEVERLY, Mass. — The Endicott men's tennis team defeated Emerson, 5-2, in non-conference action on Sundary afternoon at the Bass River Tennis Club.
The Blue and Green earned the doubles point with victories from Conrad Kadel (Heidelberg, Germany) and Aaron Terpko (Shrewsbury, Mass.) at No. 1 (7-6 (7-3)) along with Eric Scalici (Essex Fells, N.J.) and Spencer Smith (Albany, N.Y.) at No. 3 (6-3).
In singles action, the Gulls picked up victories at No. 3, 4, 5, and 6 to secure the 5-2 win. Ethan Hopman (Summit, N.J.) started off at No. 3 with a 6-4, 6-3 triumph and Scalici followed with a 6-1, 6-3 victory at No. 4.
Then at No. 5, Antonio Marsallo (Baldwinsville, N.Y.) was victorious in straight sets, 7-6 (7-0), 6-1 while Terpko wrapped up the win at No. 6 securing the 7-5, 6-2 win.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- Endicott has won five straight matches versus Emerson.
- First singles win of the year for Marsallo.
- Gulls have won the doubles point in three straight matches.

Endicott (2-5) visits Saint Michael's on Saturday, March 7 at 2 PM. Emerson (2-3) travels to Colby on Saturday, February 28 at 11 AM.
