Men's Tennis Downs Wentworth On Senior Day, 6-1

BEVERLY, Mass. — The Endicott men's tennis team defeated Wentworth, 6-1, on Tuesday afternoon in a Conference of New England (CNE) matchup at the South Campus Tennis Courts.
Before the match, Conrad Kadel (Heidelberg, Germany), Antonio Marsallo (Baldwinsville, N.Y.), Aaron Terpko (Shrewsbury, Mass.), and James Zeolie (Amherst, N.H.) were all honored for their contributions to the Endicott community and the men's tennis program in a Senior Day ceremony.
The Gulls earned the first point of the match by sweeping doubles.
Kadel and Terpko began the afternoon with a swift 6-1 victory at No. 1.
Marsallo and Drew Benporath (South Guilford, Western Australia) followed with a decisive 6-0 triumph at No. 2 to clinch the doubles point, while James Zeolie (Amherst, N.H.) / Greg Noroian (Worcester, Mass.) grinded out a hard-fought 7-6 (7-5) victory to complete the sweep.
In singles, Benporath picked up a 6-0, 6-2 win at No. 2 to make it 2-0 Gulls, before Zeolie pushed the match score to 3-0 with a 6-3, 6-1 victory at No. 6.
Terpko later secured the conference triumph at No. 4 via a 6-2, 6-1 decision.
Kadel and Spencer Smith (Albany, N.Y.) rounded out the list of singles winners at No. 1 (6-3, 6-3) and No. 3 (6-1, 7-6 (8-6)), respectively.
