Men’s Volleyball Blanks Rivier, 3-0
NASHUA, N.H. — The Endicott men's volleyball team defeated Rivier, 3-0, by scores of 25-22, 25-22, and 25-18 on Tuesday night in non-conference action at the Muldoon Center.
Jake Laborde (Brookline, N.H.) headlined the Gulls with a team-high nine kills and a perfect 16-for-16 showing on serve-receive.
Ethan Norris (Hollis, N.H.) and Aidan Iacovelli (South Windsor, Conn.) also chipped in with eight kills apiece.
Meanwhile, middles Thomas Matchett (North Smithfield, R.I.) and Aaron Bennett (Haverhill, Mass.) made things difficult at the net for the Raiders as the duo combined for nine kills (5 total, .571 | 4 total, .500) and four blocks (1 solo, 2 assisted | 1 assisted).
Matty Tiernan (Bradford, R.I.) ran the majority of the offense with 22 assists (.489).
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- Endicott is receiving votes (6) in the most recent American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Poll.
- Tonight's match featured nine ties (6-2-1) and zero lead changes.
- The Gulls have won three straight versus Rivier.
