Barron Takes Home NEVC Rookie of the Week Honors
BEVERLY, Mass. — Endicott volleyball freshman middle blocker Aidan Barron (Amherst, N.Y.) has been named the New England Volleyball Conference (NEVC) Rookie of the Week, the league office announced on Tuesday evening.
During Endicott's 2-0 week, Barron posted 16 kills (.464 hitting percentage), three digs, and five total blocks (one solo and four assisted).
The freshman posted a season-high 13 kills against Curry in Endicott's 3-1 win last Friday evening over the Colonel. He also added five blocks in the four-set victory.
Then, on Saturday, he added three kills against No. 13 Wentworth in the Gulls' sweep over the Leopards.
This marks Barron's second career NEVC Rookie of the Week honors (3/31/26).
WHAT'S NEXT
Endicott (20-3, 7-0 NEVC) hosts the NEVC Semifinals on Saturday in a 3 PM match. The Gulls face off against the winner of Friday night's SUNY Potsdam vs. Sage match.
