Gulls Rank 25th Overall At Conn. College Invitational
WATERFORD, Conn. — The Endicott men's cross country team placed 25th overall out of 37 teams in the Connecticut College Invitational on Saturday morning, hosted at Harkness Park.
No. 9 Tufts edged out No. 4 NYU for the top spot on the team standings, while No. 8 Williams, No. 23 MIT, and Bates followed to round out the top-5.
Endicott finished ahead of the following programs: Vassar, Coast Guard, Ohio Wesleyan, Union (N.Y.), Clark, UMass Darmouth, UNE, Houghton, Western Connecticut State, Misericordia, UMass Boston, and Mitchell.
Dawson Romito (Boxford, Mass.) paced the Gulls on the 8-kilometer course with a time of 26:13.86 (42nd overall, 364 total runners).
Micah Erickson (Mismarck, N.D.) was second on the squad in 27:48.06 (161st), while Caleb Sklar (Portland, Ore.) clocked a time of 28:22.41 (219th).
Jonah Potach (Marblehead, Mass.) and Jonathan Rodrigues (Walpole, Mass.) also factored into the scoring for the Gulls, as the duo posted times of 28:29.63 (224th) and 28:54.79 (263rd), respectively.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- The Gulls' top-5 average was 27:57 (2:40 spread).
- As a team, Endicott moved up from 31st overall at the 1.65-kilometer mark all the way up to 25th by the end of the race.
- Romito, Sklar, Potach, and Rodrigues all recorded personal bests.
- Henry Bybee (Hampton, N.H.), Griffin DePalma (Meriden, Conn.), and Will Johnson (Andover, Mass.) registered season-best times (29:35.70, 29:49.71, 30:10.88).

Endicott competes in the Conference of New England (CNE) Championship on Saturday, November 1 at 12 PM, hosted by Gordon College.
