BEVERLY, Mass. -- This fall, the Endicott
Club Sailing team took to the water out of Sail Salem, the Salem
Community Sailing Center in beautiful Salem Harbor. Under the
instruction and support from their new coach Brianna
Grenier, practices in the fall weather were fast paced
and exciting.
There were many freshmen that joined the Gull's this year, eager
to learn to sail. This fall, the team focused on boat handling
skills and control techniques while learning how to race against
each other. Fast races and short starting lines presented a
challenging practice environment for all sailors.
This spring, there is much to look forward to as the team is
growing significantly. With new talent and skill, Endicott's
sailing team can only go forward and hopefully be sailing up and
down the East coast in no time!
Although for the most part the team is young in age, and in some
cases in ocean experience, the team has been able to develop and
share a special bond. Being on the water together is both enjoyable
and a unique learning opportunity for everyone.
High hopes for the EC Sailing Gulls this spring 2012! Thanks for
all the support!
GO GULLS!
