Comtois, Hanchuk Claim CCC Weekly Honors
BEVERLY, Mass. – Endicott softball student-athletes Raven Comtois (Milford, N.H.) and Maria Hanchuk (South Windsor, Conn.) have received Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) weekly honors, as announced by the league office earlier today.
BEVERLY, Mass. – Endicott softball student-athletes Raven Comtois (Milford, N.H.) and Maria Hanchuk (South Windsor, Conn.) have received Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) weekly honors, as announced by the league office earlier today.
Comtois was named the CCC Player of the Week, while Hanchuk earned CCC Pitcher of the Week accolades.

Comtois her phenomenal hitting into the postseason for Endicott. She had hits in every CCC Tournament game and multiple hits in all, but one. In fact, in each of those multi-hit games, one of her hits was a home run.
She batted .556/.579/1.389 in the CCC Tournament with three doubles, four home runs, eight runs scored, and 10 RBI in five games.
On the opening day of Tournament Bracket play, she went 2-for-4 with a double and home run as the Gulls bested No. 8 seed Gordon, 6-2, before a 1-for-3 performance against No. 4 seed Nichols in a 9-2 win.
In the Bracket A final, she went 2-for-3 with a double and a home run, once again against the Bison.
Then on Saturday (May 13), in the CCC Championship Series against No. 2 seed Western New England, Comtois batted 5-for-8 with two home runs and six RBI as the Gulls earned two run-rule victories to claim the title.
This is Comtois' fourth CCC Player of the Week award.

Hanchuk earned three wins in Endicott's CCC Tournament Championship run.
She got the call in the Gulls tournament opener against No. 8 seed Gordon. She threw a seven-inning complete game allowing seven hits and two runs, while striking out four.
The next day, she toed the rubber for another seven-inning complete game, this time against No. 4 seed Nichols. She allowed just five hits and no runs against the Bison and struck out eight.
Finally, on Championship Saturday, she tossed six innings in the CCC Championship Series opener, allowing six hits, three runs (two earned), and striking out eight.
In total, she pitched 20 innings in the tournament with 20 strikeouts and posted a 1.40 ERA.
This is Hanchuk's seventh career CCC Pitcher of the Week honor.

Endicott (35-7) will take on RPI in the NCAA Tournament on Thursday, May 18 in Cambridge, Mass. (at MIT, time TBD).
