Endicott Drops 2nd Straight, 64-47
Dec. 10, 2004
Bridgewater, MA - The Gulls had a tough night on the road versus non-conference foe Bridgewater State College yesterday, falling 64-47.
After a tightly contested first half, with BSC leading by a slim margin, 29-27, the Bears opened the second stanza with a 12-2 run and never saw their lead drop below ten points the rest of the way. Turnovers and another night of cold shooting (29% overall, 18 for 62) hurt the Gulls in the second half. Endicott struggled mightily from beyond the arc as they connected on just 2-of-20 three-point attempts.
Endicott sophomore forward Lisa Chartier (Templeton, MA) played very well for the Gulls as she led all scorers with 15 points while pulling down 7 rebounds. Junior guard Jodi Brown (Coventry, RI) chipped in with 9 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Liz Yuneman (Middle Village, NY) also hit double digits with 10 points.
Freshman guard Caitlin Feeney (Providence, RI) paced the Bears with 11 points, 8 rebounds, and 6 assists. Senior Jessica Worden (Rockland, MA) finished with 12 points and 8 rebounds while adding 4 assists, 3 blocks and 2 steals. Sophomore Catie Furtado (Taunton, MA) added 10 points for the Bears, 8 of those coming in the second half.
Endicott (2-4) is now off until New Years when they head to West Palm Beach, Florida to take on Wesleyan University in the West Palm Beach Marriott Classic.
