Feb. 26, 2006
BEVERLY, MA - Endicott senior co-captains Liz Yuneman (Middle Village, NY/St. Francis Prep) and Jodi Brown (Coventry, RI/Coventry) were named to the Commonwealth Coast Conference All-Star team Saturday.
Yuneman, who was the Gulls' leading scorer, averaging 11.5 points per game, made the CCC Second Team. Yuneman was among the CCC's most prolific scorers while Brown was among the conference leaders in points per game (9.8), three-point percentage (.413), assists (2.0) and steals (2.3).
Brown became just the fourth Endicott player to break the 1,000-point barrier. She led the team in three-point percentage, assists and steals. Moreover, she was second in points and fourth in rebounding (3.8). She earned CCC Honorable Mention honors.
"Jodi and Liz are each very deserving all-star candidates," said Endicott head coach Jen Lucey. "Jodi is the consummate team player who comes to play every day. She is a great player at both ends of the court and she was the perfect leader for our team.
"Liz is a pure scorer who wanted the ball in pressure situations. She is a great shooter who can also drive the lane. And she's a tough defender."
Endicott made its deepest run ever in postseason play, reaching the CCC finals before Colby-Sawyer won a 46-43 battle for the title.
