Gulls Kick off New Year with Win
Jan. 6, 2007
Paxton, MA - Nicole Young's (Rockland, MA/Cardinal Spellman) 17 point performance helped the Gulls kick off the New Year with a 91-52 win over Anna Maria Saturday afternoon.
EC led by 30 points at half time and never looked back. Young was unstoppable on the inside and the Gulls shot a gaudy 58-percent (21 of 36) from the floor in the first half before cooling off in the second half and shooting 41-percent for the game.
All 15 of Endicott's players saw time in the game with 14 of them recording points. EC remained true to its pre-game play as the Gulls took advantage of their depth by substituting frequently using fresh legs to keep the pressure on the Amcats. With only three players on the bench Anna Maria was unable to keep up with EC's full court pressure and up tempo play.
Meghan DePatsy (Holden, MA) recorded a game high 19 points and grabbed 11 rebounds for the Amcats in the loss.
Anna Maria drops to 2-6 (0-3CCC) while Endicott improves to 6-4 (3-0CCC). Anna Maria hosts eastern Nazarene next Tuesday while Endicott travels to Salem State.
