Gulls Glide to 74-42 win over Regis

BEVERLY, MA - The Endicott College women's basketball team connected on eight first half three pointers, as the Gulls were able to shoot their way past the Pride of Regis College, 74-42 on Saturday.
Endicott got off to a quick start, as sophomore guard Nicole Duchesne (Plaistow, NH/Central Catholic) connected from behind the arc, putting Endicott up 8-2 early in the first. On the very next possession, freshman forward Ceciley Chisholm (Lexington, MA/Lexington) worked her way inside on a nice drop step, picking up the hoop and the foul, extending Endicott's lead to 11-2. Moments later, Duchesne got back in on the scoring action as she nailed back-to-back three balls, splitting the game wide open at 19-2.
Endicott entered the dressing room up 46-15 at the half. Senior Paris Sanders (Needham, MA/Minuteman Tech) had a monster game for the Gulls, as she fell just one point shy of a first half double-double (9 points and 10 boards). The Endicott forward would finish the game with 14 points and a team-high 12 rebounds.
Regis College, who were held to three first half field goals (3-19), had a strong second half, as they were able to shoot 43.5% (10-23) in the final 20 minutes. The Pride were led offensively by Ashley Clark (Charlestown, RI/Chariho Regional) as she scored a team-high 14 points on the afternoon. Regis' Jessica Page (Quincy, MA/Quincy) grabbed a game-high 13 boards for the Pride.
The entire Endicott team found their way onto the scoreboard for the Gulls. The blue and green were paced by Nicole Duchesne, as she dropped in a game-high 15 points while pulling in four rebounds and grabbing two steals in the winning effort. Endicott's Kate Harte (Warner, NH/Kearsarge Regional) also had a strong game for the home team, as she scored seven points and dished out four assists on the afternoon.
With the win, Endicott improves their record to 3-2, while the Pride from Regis College fall to 1-5. Next up for Endicott is a home men's and women's double-header vs. the Nor'easters of the University of New England. The men are scheduled to tip-off at 6:00pm with the women's game immediately following at 8:00.
