Endicott Routs Eastern Nazarene, 77-31

QUINCY, Mass. - The Endicott College women's basketball team opened its Commonwealth Coast Conference (TCCC) schedule on Saturday afternoon with a dominating win over Eastern Nazarene, 77-31, in Quincy, Massachusetts.
Endicott was dominant from the opening tip as the Gulls scored 40 points while shooting 57% from the field in the opening half. In contrast, Endicott held the Crusaders to just 12 first half points and created 21 turnovers in the opening frame.
Sophomore Rachel Hewes (Nashua, N.H./Nashua South) and freshman Ashley Vitale (Wilmington, Mass./Wilmington) led the way for Gulls as they each scored 10 points apiece. Every Endicott player saw at least 12 minutes of action, and 12-of-13 scored at least two points in the win.
ENC freshman guard Victoria Sontag (Mont Vernon, N.H.) scored a team-high 10 points and junior Amanda Remmel (Allentown, Pa.) grabbed eight rebounds.
With the win, Endicott improves to 6-6 overall and 1-0 in The Commonwealth Coast Conference. The Gulls return to action on Tuesday as they travel to Dudley, Mass. to meet the Bison of Nichols College at 6:00 pm.
