Feb. 23, 2008
MILTON, Mass. - Endicott's Ceciley Chisholm (Lexington, Mass./Lexington), Nicole Duchesne (Plaistow, N.H./Central Catholic) and Ashley Wright (Merrimack, N.H./Trinity) each notched 14 points apiece as Endicott cruised past Curry College, 76-61, to secure the top-seed in the upcoming conference tournament.
With the win, Endicott improves to 17-8 overall and 12-1 in The Commonwealth Coast Conference. Curry drops to 10-15 overall and closes out the season with a 5-8 mark in TCCC play.
Rachael Bradley (Lynn, Mass./St. Mary's) converted a quick jumper at the 11:37 mark of the opening half to put Endicott up, 14-7. The Gulls would push their first half lead to as many as eight as Ashley Wright buried a 3-pointer and also earned two hard points in the paint, sending Endicott into the intermission up 38-30.
Wright continued her strong afternoon as she connected from behind the arc midway through the second frame to give Endicott a 62-50 lead. Curry would make a late push, however the deficit proved too large as the Gulls coasted to a 76-61 win.
Ceciley Chisholm came just one rebound shy of a double-double as she notched 14 points and pulled down nine rebounds in the win. Ashley Wright scored 14 points in just 14 minutes, as she shot 6-of-10 from the field.
Endicott will hold home-court advantage throughout The Commonwealth Coast Conference playoffs. The TCCC tournament is scheduled to begin on Tuesday evening as the Blue and Green will host an opponent to be announced.
