TCCC Preseason poll picks Gulls to finish third

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - The Endicott College women's basketball team has been selected to finish third in The Commonwealth Coast Conference according to the preseason polls announced on Monday by TCCC Commissioner Gregg M. Kaye. Voting for the preseason poll was conducted among the league's head women's basketball coaches.
Colby-Sawyer College, defending champions of The Commonwealth Coast Conference, have been selected as the favorite to win the 2008-09 TCCC women's basketball championship. The Chargers (20-8, 11-3 TCCC) received nine of the 14 first-place votes in the 2008-09 TCCC preseason poll. Nichols College was selected second while receiving the one first-place vote. Endicott was picked to finish third and received three first place votes. Western New England College and the University of New England were selected fourth and fifth, respectively.
Teams received 14 points for every first place vote received, 13 points for second place votes, 12 points for third place votes, down to one point for a last place vote. First place votes are shown in parentheses.
