Chisholm nets TCCC Player of the Week

BEVERLY, Mass. – Following a career week, Endicott College senior \#Ceciley Chisholm\# (Lexington, Mass.) was named The Commonwealth Coast Conference’s Player of the Week in women’s basketball as announced by TCCC commissioner Gregg M. Kaye on Monday morning. Chisholm helped lead the Gulls to a perfect 3-0 week, including a pair of TCCC wins, while also becoming the sixth member in program history to score 1,000 points in a career.
On Wednesday night, Chisholm needed only 17 points to reach the 1,000 point plateau and went out and scored 21 and grabbed a game-high 11 rebounds in a 57-44 win over Anna Maria College. The following night, the Gulls stepped out of conference play and Chisholm scored 10 points and grabbed six rebounds as Endicott defeated Daniel Webster, 70-50. Saturday afternoon, Chisholm recorded her second double-double of the week as the senior scored a career-high 29 points and added 13 rebounds in handing Wentworth their first conference loss of the season with the Gulls’ 62-53 victory.
In three games, Chisholm averaged 20.0 points, 10 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 2.0 steals, while shooting 51% from the field (22-of-43) and 62% from the line (16-of-26).
The Blue and Green return to action on Thursday as the Gulls travel to Bristol, R.I. for a TCCC matchup with Roger Williams University at 6:00 p.m.
