Wright honored by NEWBA, d3hoops
The standout guard became the seventh player in program history to score 1,000 career points in a 68-54 win over host Nichols on Tuesday (Jan. 11). Wright was a blistering 8-of-9 from behind the arc en route to a game-high 28 points.
Four days later, Wright led the Gulls with 25 points in a 66-55 victory over visiting Western New England. She was a 10 for 10 from the charity stripe and added five rebounds and three assists in the win, helping the Blue and Green move to 9-4 on the season and remain perfect (3-0) in TCCC play.
On the season, Wright leads the team in steals (41), three-point field goals (44), and scoring average (20.2 ppg) and is ranked inside the top-3 in the conference in all three categories.
