The first half was a tight game but the Blue and Green were able to outscore the Colonels 33-29 by shooting 42.9% from inside the arc and 63.6% from the free throw line. In the opening minutes Curry went on a five point streak until the Gulls woke up and took control by answering back scoring 13 unanswered points making it a 13-5 game at 14:29. After a quick three-pointer from junior Katelyn Wright (Sudbury, Mass.) the Colonels attempted to take over by cutting the Gulls lead down to three by scoring six consecutive points.
With ten minutes remaining in the first frame the Blue and Green were shooting strong all around with huge points from junior Kayleen Whall (Foxboro, Mass.), seniors Jennifer White (Lisbon, N.H.) and Crough who scored seven points alone in less than seven minutes to end the first half with a score of 33-29 in the Gulls favor.

In the final minutes Cuddy hit two three-pointers in a row along with two made free throws from sophomore McKenzie Farguharson (West Haven, Conn.) to seal the 74-58 victory over Curry.
