HARRISVILLE, R.I. — The No. 12 Endicott women's ice hockey team defeated Nichols, 5-2, in Conference of New England (CNE) action on Friday night at Levy Rink.
Tied 2-2 in the third period, the Gulls struck for three straight goals to push their winning streak to seven games.
Samantha Fantasia (Billerica, Mass.) highlighted Endicott with her second career hat trick.
Fantasia buried tallies in the first (4:13, 1-0) and third periods (17:29, 4-2 | 18:06, 5-2, EN).
Avari Maxwell (Wrentham, Mass.) also scored in the second (5:02), while Rivers Morris (Braintree, Mass.) netted the game-winner in the final stanza (4:23).
In goal, Casey Moritz (Trophy Club, Texas) stopped 23 shots to improve to 9-3-0 (25-8-2 career).
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- Endicott is 21-3-1 all-time against Nichols (five straight victories).
- Fantasia is the first student-athlete in program history to notch multiple hat tricks (12/10/24 vs. Norwich, 4-0 win).
- Her 39 career goals rank third all-time in program history (entered tonight's game in fourth).
- Fantasia also recorded the eighth hat trick in program history.
- Morris netted her sixth career game-winner.
