CNE CHAMPIONSHIP: Morris’ OT Game-Winner Sends No. 12 Endicott Past Curry, 1-0

BEVERLY, Mass. — Endicott senior forward Rivers Morris (Braintree, Mass.) scored 3:25 into overtime to lift the No. 12 nationally ranked Gulls over Curry College, 1-0, in the inaugural Conference of New England (CNE) Championship on Saturday evening at Raymond J. Bourque Arena.

Morris potted her ninth career game-winner from the slot, capitalizing on a centering feed from Teaghan Hall (West Springfield, Mass.) following a give-and-go connection between the two in the right corner. 

Tara Henshaw (Babylon, N.Y.) was credited with the secondary assist, the 15th of her career.

Morris was named the CNE Tournament Most Outstanding Player (MOP) for scoring the game-winning goal in both the semifinal and championship rounds. 

In goal, Casey Moritz (Trophy Club, Texas) made 28 saves to record her fifth shutout of the season (12-3-0 overall | 28-8-2 career | 11th career shutout).

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE

• Endicott leads the all-time series, 13-1-1 (8-1-0 at home).
• The Gulls are 12-1-1 at home; the Colonels are 2-12-1 on the road this season.
• Endicott captured its fourth conference championship (2018-19, 2019-20, 2021-22, 2024-25).
• Curry made its second conference championship appearance today (0-2 overall).
• The Gulls earned their 22nd win of the season, which ranks tied second all-time in program history (22-4-1 in 2016-17; all-time record: 25-2-0 in 2019-20).

WHAT'S NEXT

No. 12 Endicott (22-4-1) has earned the league's automatic bid into the NCAA Tournament.

The Gulls will learn their postseason fate via the NCAA Tournament Selection Show on Sunday, March 9 at 8:30 PM (EST).

Curry sees its 2024-25 season come to a close at 12-14-1.
