BEVERLY, Mass. — The No. 9 Endicott women's ice hockey team defeated the University of Western New England in overtime, 3-2, in Conference of New England (CNE) action on Saturday night at the Raymond J. Bourque Ice Arena.
Trailing 1-0 halfway through the second, Lilly Corso (Winchester, Mass.) found the equalizer from Jo Wimler (Portland, Conn.) when she blasted a one-timer from the left faceoff circle at the 11:31 mark, finding the back of the net.
Still tied at one apiece in the third, Eliza Barker (North Kingstown, R.I.) slotted home a rebound following a shot from Maggie Holt (Cumberland Foreside, Maine) to capture a 2-1 edge.
A minute later, the Golden Bears responded with a goal of their own, making it a 2-2 game.
With the game now in overtime, Gracyn Kurrle (Middlesex, Vt.) tipped home her second career game-winner from the slot, capitalizing on a feed from Abbey Agrodnia (Cape Elizabeth, Maine) and Wimler to win it for the Blue and Green.
