Gulls Defeat Curry 16-14

Beverly, MA - EC stunned the home team by jumping out to an 11-4 lead at half-time. The Gulls tacked on three more to start the second half before Curry was able to find the back of the net. Curry's only lead was in the first minutes of the game when they were up 1-0. Gulls freshman Lindsey O'Connell (Mansfield, MA) tied it seconds later, and senior captain Katie White (Ridgefield, CT) scored the go-ahead goal off a free-position to take the lead for good.

Curry closed the gap to one goal in the second half when they went on a run of six unanswered goals.

Gulls defenders thwarted three last minute attempts to keep the margin at one. Kate White added an insurance goal to put the Gulls ahead by two and seal the win.

Gulls goalkeeper Erin Curry (Fr/Hampstead, NH) came up big turning away 19 shots in the conference win.

The Gulls (4-1 in the CCC) travel to Henniker, NH tomorrow, Saturday, April 17 to play conference rival New England College (4-1 in the CCC). Today's win improves EC's record to 6-6 overall.
