Three EC Players Receive CCC Post-Season Accolades
May 3, 2004
The Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) released the 2004 Women's Lacrosse All-Conference Teams. Among those selected were three Endicott players: midfielder Lauren Gibbons (So/Shaker Heights, OH), midfielder Katie White (Sr/Ridgefield, CT) and attacker Christine Wilmott (Jr/Barre, VT).
Gibbons was an offensive and defensive threat for the Gulls from her position at center. She consistently thwarted opponents scoring efforts, while posting her own points in the goals and assists columns. Gibbons also broke the school record for draw controls in a season, which stood at 30. She leads the team in ground balls, and was among the top 20 in Division III in this category at several times this season.
White was the Gulls only four-year player this season. In her career at Endicott, she played in all 52 games over that four-year period. Her experience and ability were a great asset to the Gulls this season. White ranked second for goals this season, and among the top three for assists. She is also among team leaders for draw controls.
Wilmott broke school records for goals in a season and points in a season. She opened with an eight goal performance in the Gulls first victory over MIT, and she never looked back. She was a consistent scoring threat for the Gulls, scoring in every game this season. Wilmott was ranked among the top 20 in Division III for several weeks in goals per game and points per game.
