Chargers Down the Gulls 9-7

Hooksett, NH - The Gulls ended their 7-game winning streak tonight against Colby-Sawyer, away at Southern New Hampshire University. The Chargers (5-1), beat EC 9-7 after being ahead 6-3 at the half.
Colby-Sawyer jumped out on the first possession to get off to a quick 3-1 lead before Gulls attacker Cathy Sharp fired in a bullet past the Chargers keeper on a free-position.
Colby-Sawyer increased their half-time lead when Becky Schaffer scored her second goal of the contest to make it 7-3 before the Gulls came alive to score three of the next four goals on Chargers keeper Sarah Cook. Cook had just eight saves against the Gulls attack.
Lauren Gibbons scored in the final seconds of the game to narrow the margin, but the Chargers still picked up the win to improve their record to 5-1 overall; 3-0 CCC. The Gulls drop to 7-1 overall; 2-1 CCC.
Endicott returns to their home stadium on Saturday at 3:30 pm to face non-conference opponent Western New England College.
