Gulls Get a Big Win Over WNEC

Beverly, MA - The Gulls (8-1) returned to their home field this afternoon to play non-conference opponent Western New England College (4-4). Endicott's Lindsey O'Connell (So/Mansfield, MA) opened the scoring unassisted at 26:52. The Gulls went on to score the next three goals as well, for an early 4-0 lead.
Six different attackers scored for the Gulls; O'Connell finished with a team high seven points off of three goals and four assists, Susie Neikirk (Jr/Scotia, NY) had four goals and two assists, Jessica Blair (Sr/Middlebury, VT) had four goals, Lauren Gibbons (Jr/Shaker Heights, OH) had two goals and two assists, Christine Wilmott (Sr/Barre, VT) notched three goals, and junior midfielder Cathy Sharp (Rutland, VT) scored twice for the Gulls and assisted on another.
Gulls defenders kept the ball out of the eight-meter for most of the game, and goalkeeper Erin Curry (So/East Hampstead, NH) turned away 14 shots.
With this win, the Gulls improve their record to 8-1; 2-1 CCC. They play conference opponent Nichols College at home on Monday, April 11 at 4:00 pm. Curry College will travel to Endicott on Tuesday, April 12th for the Gulls second conference home game of the week at 4:00 pm.
