EC Drops to MIT 15-9

Cambridge, MA - The Gulls got an early lead, 7-3, over MIT before the Engineers evened it up with the next four goals to go into half-time tied 7-7 at their home field.
The visiting Gulls scored the first goal of the night under thirty seconds into the match, before MIT put away the next three to take a 3-1 lead. The Gulls stormed back, scoring the next six goals in row for a 7-3 lead, only to have MIT score four more to end the half tied at seven-all.
In second half action, MIT opened to take the early one-goal lead. EC mustered two more goals back to back to tie it and lead, but MIT posessed the ball for the duration of the game, finding their rhythm and scoring the final seven goals in row to widen the gap and finish with a decisve 15-9 win.
MIT's Kelly Presson led all scorers with seven goals. Christine Wilmott (Sr/Barre, VT) led the Gulls with three goals.
Today's loss drops the Gulls to 10-2 overall, 3-1 in the CCC. The Gulls return to their home field for Senior Day, Saturday, April 16th at 12 noon to face off against conference rival New England College.
