Beverly, MA-- The EC women's lacrosse team earned the top seed in the upcoming ECAC Tournament. As the No. 1 seed, the Gulls have a first round bye on Wednesday and will host the Keene State/New England College winner this Saturday at 6:00 p.m. following Endicott's commencement ceremonies.
The Gulls started their 2005 season off with a 15-8 win over Keene State, marking the first victory in the three game series against the Owls. On April 16, the Gulls defeated NEC, 6-4, as they remain undefeated at home.
In both games, senior Christine Wilmott led the Gulls attack. In the Keene State victory, Wilmott was the game's leading scorer with seven goals and one assist. In the NEC game, the co-captain tallied two goals, the second being the game winner.
