Hamel backstops Gulls with TCCC honor

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - Endicott College women's lacrosse player Molly Hamel (North Yarmouth, Maine) has been named TCCC Defensive Player of the Week as announced by TCCC Commissioner Gregg M. Kaye on Monday. Hamel and the Gulls have opened the season at 2-1 with their only loss coming to NESCAC power Colby College on Sunday.
The senior net-minder had a career-high 24 saves while facing 46 shots in a 14-5 setback to the defending NESCAC Champion Colby College Mules. This season, Hamel has made 50 saves while playing in all 180 minutes of action.
Endicott returns to action on Wednesday, March 18th as the Gulls look to get back in the win column as they travel to Bowdoin College for a non-conference matchup at 6:00 p.m.
