Gulls place two on IWLCA All-Region Team

BEVERLY, Mass. - Endicott's Molly Moss (Yarmouth, Maine) and Alex Pearce (Underhill, Vt.) have been named to the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association Pilgrim League All-Region Team, as announced by the IWLCA on Tuesday. The IWLCA honored 224 student-athletes in Division III with a selection on one of the All-Regional teams for 2009. These athletes are now eligible for inclusion on the IWLCA/US Lacrosse All-American teams, which will be announced on May 22. The IWLCA and US Lacrosse will honor the National All-Americans at the IWLCA/US Lacrosse All-American banquet on June 13, 2009 at the Crowne Plaza Valley Forge in King of Prussia, Pa.
Moss earned First Team honors after a standout senior season in which she helped lead the Gulls to a fourth straight The Commonwealth Coast Conference Championship. The senior started all 20 games in 2009, winning a team-high 27 draw controls, forcing 20 turnovers, and scooping-up 38 groundballs. The defensive midfielder helped hold opponents to 9.90 goals against per game, while also contributing a goal and two assists on the season.
Alex Pearce was awarded Second Team recognition after finishing second on the team in scoring in '09. Pearce notched 55 goals and handed out 10 assists, good for 65 points. The Endicott senior had 38 groundballs and scored three game-winning goals for the Blue and Green. Pearce closed out her career with 181 goals and 49 total assists.
