BEVERLY, Mass. — The Endicott women's lacrosse team opened up Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) play with a 24-6 win, over Salve Regina on Saturday afternoon, at Hempstead Stadium.
BEVERLY, Mass. — The Endicott women's lacrosse team opened up Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) play with a 24-6 win, over Salve Regina on Saturday afternoon, at Hempstead Stadium.
The Gulls scored six of the opening seven goals and did not look back as they outscored the Seahawks 18-6 in the first half and 6-0 in the second.
Leading the way offensively for Endicott was Maya Feigenbaum (West Hartford, Conn.) who scored four goals. Closely following the senior forward were Kiana Napolitano (Revere, Mass.) and Morgan Pike (Shapleigh, Maine) who each notched hat-tricks.
The Blue and Green also saw Nicole Genga (Marlborough, Conn.), Taylor Horine (Fairfield, Conn.), Matilda Darrah (Dover, N.H.), and Molly Kracke (Milton, Mass.) all score their first collegiate goal in the victory.
Meanwhile, in net, Alexandra Rose (East Lyme, Conn.) made six saves in the first half, while Lydia Akins (Edina, Minn) made six saves in the second half.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- The Gulls saw 14 different student-athletes find the back of the net this afternoon, while 15 student-athletes registered a point.
- Endicott outshot Salve Regina, 47-17.
- The Gulls now lead the all-time series over Salve Regina, 28-1, and have won the last 27 contests.
- Endicott has won their last nine home contests.
WHAT'S NEXT
Endicott (1-1, 1-0 CCC) will travel to Gordon on Thursday, April 1 for a 5 PM game. Salve Regina (0-1, 0-1 CCC) will host Wentworth on Wednesday, March 31 at 7:30 PM.
