Black, Smith Earn IWLCA All-Region Honors
BEVERLY, Mass. — Endicott student-athletes Leah Black (Cheshire, Conn.) and Mia Smith (Portsmouth, N.H.) have received Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) All-Region honors.
BEVERLY, Mass. — Endicott student-athletes Leah Black (Cheshire, Conn.) and Mia Smith (Portsmouth, N.H.) have received Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) All-Region honors.
Both were chosen for the Pilgrim Region Second Team. This is their first career all-region honor.
Black and Smith are now eligible to be named IWLCA All-Americans.

Black finished the season with 53 goals and 36 assists for 89 points, while also scooping up 34 ground balls and causing 14 turnovers.
The Cheshire, Conn. native set new career highs in nearly every statistical category as she was named to the All-Conference First Team and named Most Outstanding Player of the CNE Tournament.
Black had 10 games this season in which she had five or more points, including nine in the CNE Championship game versus Hartford, following up with eight in the NCAA First Round against Emmanuel (Mass.).

Another key contributor for the Gulls all season, Smith compiled 41 goals, 30 assists, 71 points, 62 draw controls, 25 ground balls, and 12 caused turnovers.
The junior has been named an All-Conference honoree every year and for the first time was named to the First Team.
Smith recorded five games this season with five or more draw controls, while also having seven games with five or more points.
YEAR IN REVIEW
Endicott went 16-5 overall and 9-0 in league play. The first-seeded Gulls defeated third-seeded Hartford, 25-19 in the CNE Championship game to earn the program's 14th conference title and advance to the NCAA Tournament.
Endicott secured the program's second-ever NCAA Tournament win against Emmanuel (Mass.), 20-3 in the First Round of the NCAA Tournament, before falling to No. 4 Colby, 17-1 in the following round.
