Women’s Lacrosse Bests Wentworth, 24-2
BOSTON, Mass. — The Endicott women's lacrosse team defeated Wentworth, 24-2, in Conference of New England (CNE) action on Friday evening at Sweeney Field.
The visitors responded to an early 1-0 deficit (13:06) with a five-goal run (9:54-1:53) and never looked back in the contest.
Sixteen Gulls found the back of the net in the victory, highlighted by hat tricks from Abby Giannetti (Amherst, N.H.) and Mia Smith (Portsmouth, N.H.).
Emerson Clark (Gloucester, Mass.), Mia Kaczmarek (South Burlington, Vt.), Jenna Baccari (Woburn, Mass.), and Keira Fletcher (Rancho Palos Verdes, Calif.) also scored twice to push Endicott's road record to 4-1 on the season.
Sophia Notine (Kennebunk, Maine), Grace McAfee (Upper Township, N.J.), Kendal Kelsey (Queensbury, N.Y.), Mia Samarjian (Stow, Mass.), Maggie Holt (Cumberland Foreside, Maine), Leah Black (Cheshire, Conn.), Ava Amara (Southbury, Conn.), Sarah Brunelle (Pelham, N.H.), Kenzie Velsmid (Hopewell Junction, N.Y.), and Libby Hooper (Cape Elizabeth, Maine) rounded out the offense with solo tallies.
In goal, freshman starter Severine Michel (Seekonk, Mass.) made two saves in the first half, bumping her record to 6-1 overall.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- Endicott is 14-0 in the all-time series (8-0 road).
- First career starts for Celia Dahl (Orono, Minn.), Ada Weaber (Salisbury, Vt.), Amara, Notine, and Gianetti.
- Baccari, Brunelle, and Hooper buried their first career goals.
- Defensively, the Gulls did not allow a goal in the second, third, and fourth quarters.

Endicott (8-2, 5-0 CNE) visits MIT on Tuesday, April 7 at 5 PM. Wentworth (4-7, 1-5 CNE) travels to the University of New England on Wednesday, April 8 at 7 PM.
