Women's Lacrosse Falls To MIT, 16-13
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. — The Endicott women's lacrosse team fell to MIT, 16-13, in non-conference action on Tuesday afternoon at Jack Barry Field.
Mia Samarjian (Stow, Mass.) scored four goals to lead the Gulls along with an assist for five points in the contest. Leah Black (Cheshire, Conn.) finished with a hat-trick and assist for Endicott, while Ava Amara (Southbury, Conn.) rounded out the multi-goal scorers with two.
Meanwhile, Abbie Belleville (Salem, Conn.), Grace McAfee (Upper Township, N.J.), Mia Smith (Portsmouth, N.H.), and Kenzie Velsmid (Hopewell Junction, N.Y.) all found the back of the next once.
In goal, Severine Michel (Seekonk, Mass.) made two saves in 30 minutes of action as she was dealt the loss (5-2).
A back-and-forth first quarter and a half saw the teams tied at six apiece after a Samarjian tally with 3:51 until halftime.
The host Engineers then ripped off a 7-0 scoring run over the next nearly 10 minutes of gametime to push their advantage to 13-6.
From there, the two teams traded goals until the final five minutes of the contest when the Blue and Green scored three unanswered before falling 16-13.

Endicott (8-3) resumes conference play when it hosts newcomer Johnson & Wales, tomorrow, Wednesday, April 8th, at 7 PM. MIT (10-3) hosts Babson on Saturday, April 11th, at 1:15 PM.
