    BEVERLY, Mass. — The first-seeded Endicott women's lacrosse team (14-4) is set to host second-seeded Roger Williams (10-8) on Saturday, May 2nd at Hempstead Stadium at 3 PM for the Conference of New England (CNE) Championship game.

    Here's an inside look at Saturday's championship matchup.

    FIVE THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW

    • This is the 14th all-time meeting between the two programs in the conference championship (Endicott holds an 8-5 advantage).
    • The Gulls won the regular season matchup back on March 28, 16-7. Leah Black (Cheshire, Conn.) led the way with four goals and two assists for six points.
    • Nationally, Endicott ranks No. 5 in scoring offense at 17.33 goals per game. The Blue and Green also lead the CNE in scoring defense at 7.39.
    • Roger Williams ranks 18th in draw control percentage at 61.1 as CNE Specialist of the Year, Miranda Hayes is 4th across Division III in draw controls per game at 8.61.
    • Endicott is 8-1 at home this season, while the Hawks are 3-6 on the road.

    The winner of Saturday's matchup will earn the CNE Automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament. The loser will see its season come to a close.
