NORTON, Mass. - The Endicott women's soccer team fell to Wheaton (Mass.) 3-2 in non-conference action on Wednesday evening. The loss drops Endicott's record to 4-2 overall, while Wheaton improves to 3-1-2 on the season.
The Gulls jumped out to a 1-0 lead when Jaymie Caponigro (Swampscott, Mass.) scored her team-leading fourth goal of the season in the 24th minute. Endicott would then extend the lead to 2-0 when Hannah Pesci (Windham, N.H.) chipped a shot over the Lyons' keeper in the 48th minute of play.
Wheaton was then able to turn the tables, striking for three goals in a 14-minute stretch to secure the 3-2 victory.
