Women's Soccer, Babson Play To Scoreless Draw
WELLESLEY, Mass. — The Endicott women's soccer team tied Babson, 0-0, in Tuesday night's non-conference matchup at Hartwell Rogers Park.
Both defenses refused to back down throughout the match. For the Gulls, the back line of Michelle Donahue (Melrose, Mass.), Madeline Barbieri (Cranston, R.I.), Chloe Bauman (Southington, Conn.), Catherine Groth (Burnt Hills, N.Y.) shut down the Beavers' offense.
Samantha Klimas (North Andover, Mass.) headed a ball on net in the first half, and then did so again with just five minutes remaining in the contest, but both shots were scooped up by the Babson goalkeeper.
Those were the Gulls' only registered shots on goal in the contest, despite a few other scoring chances throughout.
Amanda Cosgrove (Newton, Mass.) recorded her second shutout of the season and saw her record go to 2-4-1 in her three-save outing.
