EC women's tennis wins home opener versus USM

The Endicott women's tennis team started off strong in their first match of the 2003 season sweeping University of Southern Maine 7 to 2 at home last night.
Blythe Langley led all Endicott tennis players winning 6-1 and 6-3 in first singles verse USM Chelsea Gray, and then winning 8-3 with Melissa Marrone in doubles. Brianne Cogan had a successful debut winning at 4th singles and teaming with fellow first year player Carli Conners at second doubles 8-4. Tessy Garcia, Julie Castle and Sofia Pagano all cleaned house winning their singles each in two sets.
The Gulls are home again this Saturday at 1:00 against conference foe Wentworth.
