Gulls Sweep Doubles Play to Remain Undefeated

BEVERLY, MA -- The Endicott women's tennis team swept doubles play to stay perfect on the season with a 7-2 victory over Colby-Sawyer College Tuesday afternoon at Endicott College.
Freshman Kate Roundy (Simsbury, CT/Simsbury) teamed up with senior Blythe Langley (North Hampton, NH/Winnacunnet) at first doubles for an 8-2 victory for the Gulls, who have not lost a match in doubles play this season.
Endicott is now 3-0 overall and 2-0 in the CCC.
Rounding out the doubles sweep were second doubles partners Carli Conners (Medina, OH/Medina) and Brianne Cogan (Saratoga Springs, NY/Saratoga), who won 8-4, and Nicole Leveille (Atkinson, NH/Timberline) and Allison Auer (Bedford, NH/Trinity), who were victorious, 8-6, at third doubles.
Roundy, the CCC Player of the Week, took a 6-4, 7-5 decision to keep her personal three-game winning streak in tact at first singles. Other singles' winners were Conners (6-1, 6-3) at third singles, Cogan (6-1, 6-0) at fourth singles and Leveille, 6-2, 6-2, at sixth singles.
The Gulls put their streak on the line Saturday at Salve Regina (1:00 P.M.) in a CCC matchup.
