Breting named CCC Co-Rookie of the Week

BEVERLY, MA - Freshmen Nicole Breting (Woonsocket, RI/Mt. St. Charles) was named the Commonwealth Coast Conference co-Rookie of the Week. Breting lost just two games in singles competition, playing in the second slot versus Wentworth and the third position versus Eastern Nazarene. She also teamed with Brianne Cogan (Saratoga Springs, NY/Saratoga) for a pair of second-doubles wins. Breting and Cogan are 4-1 in doubles play this season, while Breting has a 3-1 record in singles play.

The Gulls took a pair of wins over Wentworth and Eastern Nazarene last week improving their overall record to 4-1. Katie Kirby (Orono, ME/Orono) of Gordon College was also named co-Rookie of the Week.
