Gulls picked second in TCCC Preseason Poll

BEVERLY, Mass. - After an appearance in the 2007 TCCC Championships, Endicott College has been picked No. 2 in The Commonwealth Coast Conference Preseason Poll released by Commissioner Gregg M. Kaye today. The Gulls return their entire team from a year ago.
Colby-Sawyer College has been tabbed as the preseason favorite to capture The Commonwealth Coast Conference women's tennis championship. The Chargers received two of the 11 first-place votes in the 2008 TCCC preseason poll. Endicott College was picked as the runner-up receiving two first-place votes. Defending champion Roger Williams University was selected by the coaches to finish third, receiving five first-place votes, while Salve Regina University was selected fourth and received the remaining two first-place votes.
Anna Maria College has added women's tennis on the varsity level, however, AMC will not compete for The Commonwealth Coast Conference championship until the 2009 season.
Teams received 11 points for every first place vote received, 10 points for second place votes, nine points for third place votes, down to one point for a last place vote. First place votes are shown in parentheses.
